Nintendo Network is shutting down soon, without it, will this still work, or nah? qwq
(sorz if I asked this question and it seemed super silly, I'm still tryna figure out what really will be gone and what won't...)
This app doesn’t use Nintendo services as mentioned in the description.
I was gonna delete this comment, but I know how itch works lmao and it would just go "comment deleted by user" and people would be like "WwHo DeEleTeD TheE CoMmeNt???"
so imma just take the L for this one, I posted that question before downloading it, and now that I used it, I realized that, but I have learned a valuable lesson today... READ! :333
Does this work for mobile? Like am I able to download this tool and it will work on my Android device?
Not at the moment. I’m working on a companion app for mobile devices that will be released in the near future (it will be included as part of an update), but that app will still require a PC running Rich Presence U over your local network.
There is a different application that currently works on mobile devices using some workarounds, not made by me but appears to have Rich Presence U’s database implemented on it, so you should have access to the same games that my app has. Here’s a link to their repository in case you want to give it a try: https://github.com/dead8309/Kizzy
I really appreciate what you're doing I'll check the link as well, thanks a lot
will i have to manually put in the game im playing
Yes, it is in the description. Automatic setup is planned for Wii U games but not for the other platforms.
Does this work with Pretendo?
Pretendo Network? No, but they already have rich presence feature as far as I remember (at least for Mario Kart 8)
I have decided to create an account to buy this
I recently bought the tool since I love the idea and wanted to support you, but I am having trouble updating it. When I click the update button in the program, it takes me to the page with no option to download version 1.0.2 unless I pay $5 again. Maybe it's an itch.io bug, but I'm wondering how to fix it.
Try downloading it from the main page or from your library.
That worked for me, thank you. Also thanks for making a great tool!
Glad to see it worked for you, I updated the post to help anyone that may get confused by this.
I have a potential idea. What if for an auto-activity setup, you made a fleet of bot NNIDs, and it monitored everyone’s status on games and their friend codes and stuff, and bam! Auto-set status!
It might make sense at first, but it wouldn’t be feasible, I would need multiple consoles to do this, as you can only have one nnid logged in per console at the same time, it applies to both 3DS and Wii U, and as far as I know you can only see the status of those on your friend list, and both consoles have a limit of 100 friends per account, so you can imagine where this is going…
The most practical solution would be to allow each user to authenticate with their own account and use their information for this purpose, but the problem with this (as mentioned in the description) is that I would still need to have access to the Nintendo Network API to make this possible, homebrew alternatives that don’t rely on online services are totally possible and already exist (at least for the Wii U), but none of them are fully compatible with all games.
My hope is that in the future I can implement a simple and clean auto-activity setup using Pretendo Network, which is an open source alternative to Nintendo Network, although it is still under development at the moment.
Actually, you can have multiple users on a Wii U. Each user with its own NNID. At least you can, on the latest firmware.
Indeed you can, up to 12, but only one account can be logged in to Nintendo Network on the same console at once. That what I meant.
Ohhhh.
But I really appreciate your suggestion and will do my best to make something like this possible in the future.
Yes, all future updates.
A very good application, well worth the cost.
Or at least it would be if attempts to purchase weren't currently met with a white page with only "There was an error with your request" on it. Guess I'll try again later.
That’s strange… I think you should try to contact itch.io support if you are still having this issue.
I just replied to their email, I’m not totally sure but I believe it was because the payout mode was using my local currency (BRL), as I set it to be direct payment, so I changed it to the default payout mode again.
You should be able to proceed with the purchase now, sorry for any inconvenience.
Can confirm it worked, and the improvements in the latest update are great
You can submit your requests for icons here: https://forms.gle/7K597EZWuP4HMFxd7
Just fill the form as a suggestion, select Rich Presence U and include a link to the icons you wish to be included (if you have one)
the application is in black when opened
Have you updated to the latest version?
Pokemon Unite?
Requests need to have an icon attached to them, as stated in the description.
Wii U emulator support?
Cemu and Decaf already have native RPC support as far as I know.
